Craftsman / Designer / Owner
Ever since my teenage years, I’ve been passionate about guitars and music. Playing in a band, I quickly became interested in guitars themselves, and all the materials that went into the instruments to make them special. For over a decade, working with wood and metal was only a hobby I did in my free time.
They say “Do what you love, and you’ll never work another day in your life”. In 2014, this is exactly what I set on achieving. It was not an easy choice, but I knew that I had to move on from my corporate job to fulfill my lifelong purpose of building one of a kind pieces. That year I established FunctionArt Design out of Dallas, Texas with the belief that function and art do not have to be mutually exclusive.
I take pride in my work process, and always design and build everything sustainably. I approach each project like an artist creates a piece of art, expressing unique creativity and emotion. However, I also enjoy challenging myself in making the items as functional as possible. One of the best feelings is seeing my distinctive ideas come to life, while catering to my clients’ visions and needs.
Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many companies and individuals all over the country to make simple yet innovative creations. I am confident that you will be satisfied by my high-quality craftsmanship, as well as the fresh ideas I can bring to the table (and even build that table).
